Job description

Our client is a newly independent, private equity-backed enterprise software company focused on helping industrial organizations connect data, optimize operations, and leverage advanced technology and AI. The organization combines the resources and customer base of an established technology business with the agility and entrepreneurial mindset of a startup.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Director of HR Business Partners & Talent Acquisition to lead the global HRBP and Talent Acquisition functions while serving as a strategic HR advisor to executive leadership. Reporting directly to the CHRO, this leader will oversee a geographically distributed team of HRBPs and recruiters across North America, India, and Europe. This individual will play a critical role in building a scalable HR operating model, establishing an effective in-house recruiting function, and connecting business strategy to organizational design, workforce planning, and talent execution. The ideal candidate brings strong executive presence, a strategic mindset, and a demonstrated ability to execute in complex, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, including the CEO, CFO, and other functional leaders.
  • Partner with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Align workforce plans with financial objectives and annual operating plans.
  • Provide strategic guidance across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, development, performance, retention, and organizational change.
  • Challenge assumptions and recommend practical, data-supported solutions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of HR Business Partners.
  • Establish a consistent HRBP operating model across regions and functions.
  • Integrate teams and practices from legacy organizations into a unified People strategy.
  • Strengthen HRBP capabilities in strategic advisory, change management, and business partnership.
  • Partner closely with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated employee solutions.
Talent Acquisition Transformation
  • Lead the transition from a primarily outsourced recruiting model to a scalable internal TA function.
  • Develop the talent acquisition strategy, team structure, processes, and supporting technology.
  • Establish efficient recruiting workflows, reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Evaluate automation, AI, and recruiting technology to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Reduce reliance on external agencies while improving quality of hire and hiring execution.
  • Partner with business leaders to prioritize critical hiring needs across technical and corporate functions.
Data, Analytics & Operational Excellence
  • Leverage Workday and other HR systems to analyze workforce trends, hiring, promotions, attrition, and organizational performance.
  • Translate people data into actionable recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Establish consistent reporting and KPIs across HRBP and TA functions.
  • Drive accountability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
  • Significant progressive HR leadership experience, including direct leadership of both HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition functions.
  • Demonstrated experience advising senior executives and partnering across complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong background in workforce planning, organizational design, change management, and employee lifecycle strategy.
  • Experience leading and developing geographically distributed teams.
  • Ability to translate HR data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
  • Familiarity with Workday or comparable enterprise HR systems.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on execution.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred
  • Experience in enterprise software, industrial technology, or a related technology environment.
  • Background in private equity-backed organizations, corporate carve‑outs, integrations, or business transformations.
  • Experience supporting global teams across North America, India, and EMEA.
  • Familiarity with technical recruiting and India's technology talent market.
  • Experience establishing or transforming internal Talent Acquisition capabilities.
