Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Belton, TX seeks a Senior Director to manage day-to-day operations of the Bell County Jail health services, plan and supervise center activities, and implement policies while overseeing budget and priorities.

This leadership role focuses on nursing, medical, dental, mental health and specialty care oversight, with a strong emphasis on compliance, quality, and collaboration with university departments to ensure timely, high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus six years of progressively responsible management experience OR a combination of education and/or years of experience in management to equal a minimum of 10 years.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary health services and leading large teams.

Responsibilities

• Nursing Oversight of a 24/7 health system.
• Medical Care Oversight including scheduling and services.
• Dental Care Oversight including scheduling and services.
• Mental Health Oversight coordinating psychiatry and counseling services.
• Specialty and Hospital Care Oversight coordinating referrals and care pathways.
• Financial and Administrative Oversight including budget and staffing.
• Quality and Compliance Oversight ensuring high quality patient care and compliance.
