Job summary

Doppel seeks a Director of Governance, Risk & Compliance to lead and scale our GRC function. You will set strategy, operating model, and a multi-year roadmap for governance, risk, privacy, third-party risk, control assurance and customer trust.

You will own certification and audit readiness for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, and future frameworks, building systems and a team to operate them at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a GRC function in a high-growth technology or SaaS environment.
• Proven ability to design and operate enterprise risk management programs with risk appetite and escalation.
• Executive-level communication to senior leadership, boards, auditors, and customers.
• Track record building and scaling GRC programs and teams with clear ownership.
• Deep understanding of ISMS/PIMS/AIMS, Trust Services Criteria, and cloud controls.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute Doppel’s multi-year GRC strategy, operating model, and roadmap.
• Build and lead a high-performing GRC organization with defined roles and career paths.
• Own certification strategy for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001 and related frameworks.
• Establish enterprise risk governance, risk appetite, and remediation tracking for exec review.
• Scale control assurance and security governance across frameworks, increasing automation.
• Lead third-party and emerging risk governance, due diligence, and vendor oversight.
• Lead customer trust initiatives, security reviews, and RFP support with Sales and Success.
• Shape privacy and responsible AI governance with Legal, Product, and Security.
• Oversee resilience, incident prep, continuity, and recovery programs with ownership clarity.
• Advise the CISO, executives, and board with clear, business-impact reporting.
