Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of GPS Portfolio Strategy & Governance to translate GPS strategy into a focused, cross-functional portfolio.

You will lead 800+ initiatives spanning process improvement, digitization, and SKU rationalization, ensuring disciplined decision making and resource alignment. The role partners with Finance, HR, Quality, Supply Chain, Digital/IT, and Reporting & Analytics to deliver measurable enterprise value while promoting GPS ways of working

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive leadership in enterprise portfolio management, transformation, and large-scale change across multiple functions and geographies.
• Strong knowledge of 80/20 methodology and GPS Methods and Standards (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Six Sigma Green/Black/Master Black Belt certification preferred.
• Experience governing complex, high-value portfolios with prioritization, stage gates, and benefits tracking.

Responsibilities

• Translate GPS strategy into an integrated multi-year portfolio roadmap with clear owners and milestones.
• Design and lead enterprise governance for 800+ initiatives, including intake, prioritization, stage gates, and reporting.
• Drive value realization with defined benefits across financial and operating metrics.
• Orchestrate cross-functional execution, manage dependencies, and remove barriers for faster delivery.
• Scale repeatable practices across geographies and functions within the enterprise.
• Embed GPS methods, standards, and leadership routines to sustain improvements.
