CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Director of Legal (Government) to lead our government-facing business and regulatory strategy from a foundational leadership position. You will partner with executives on government contracting, compliance programs, and regulatory engagements globally.

The role requires deep experience in FAR/DFARS, export controls (ITAR/EAR), and complex defense negotiations, with the ability to build scalable processes and mentor a growing legal team.

Formación

• JD degree and active US license to practice law
• 11+ years of progressive legal experience in aerospace or defense with government contracting focus
• Deep expertise in FAR/DFARS and U.S. government procurement processes
• Experience with export controls (ITAR/EAR) and regulatory compliance programs
• Proven success leading contract negotiations on complex defense and government programs
• Experience advising C-suite leaders and Boards of Directors

Responsabilidades

• Lead U.S. government contract support including FAR/DFARS interpretation, proposal review, contract negotiation, administration and dispute resolution
• Advise on licensing, performance, changes, claims and terminations
• Support regulatory compliance across agencies (e.g., FCC, NOAA, State Department) and export controls
• Develop and oversee export compliance programs (ITAR, EAR)
• Collaborate with business development, engineering and operations to ensure compliant product development and deployment
• Establish scalable government legal processes, templates and playbooks
• Manage outside counsel and advisors and mentor the legal/compliance team
