Job summary

Visa is seeking a Sr. Director, Global Indirect Tax to own critical elements of our international and US indirect tax advice and operations, including VAT/GST and US S&U taxes.

You will partner with regional tax heads and cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into scalable processes and reliable systems. The role involves leading tax strategy, compliance, and governance, driving automation, and advising on tax implications of new products, market entries, and cross-border

Qualifications

• 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years with a PhD
• Extensive experience leading indirect tax matters across global VAT/GST and US Sales & Use Tax in a multinational environment
• Deep technical expertise combined with strong commercial judgment and ability to translate complex tax requirements into practical business solutions
• Proven success advising senior leaders on tax implications of new products, commercial structures, M&A transactions, digital services, and cross-border business models
• Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate regulatory change, manage risk, and support business growth in a rapidly evolving global environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Visa's global indirect tax strategy across regions and products.
• Lead indirect tax risk management and oversight of compliance, reporting, and remittance globally.
