Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a senior leader to drive clinical development in Internal Medicine, guiding study design, execution, and regulatory submissions worldwide. The role owns the Clinical Development Plan and protocol design, with pediatric plan development and milestone negotiation to ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery.

The incumbent provides therapy area expertise for data reviews, safety narratives, and product labeling support, while engaging external stakeholders and leading

Qualifications

• MD or DO with 8+ years in clinical research and development across Phase 1–3.
• Background in chronic weight management, endocrinology, or internal medicine.
• Extensive knowledge of global/regional regulation, ICH/GCP, and adverse event management.
• Demonstrated medical, administrative, and project management capabilities; effective communication.
• Experience leading/training large cross-functional teams; launching large teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Clinical Development Team for Internal Medicine assets through study design, execution, and interpretation for worldwide regulatory submissions.
• Own and endorse the Clinical Development Plan and protocol design documents.
• Create pediatric investigation/study plan and protocol design documents for trial feasibility and execution.
• Negotiate milestones and ensure delivery of the clinical program within timelines and budget.
• Provide therapy area expertise for data review, safety narrative planning, and product labeling support.
• Develop submission-level deliverables and safety narratives; review safety plans.
• Engage external stakeholders to support clinical development strategy and program development.
• Provide regulatory submission support including DSUR, PBRER and product defense; ensure SOP compliance.
