Job summary

Elanco is seeking a Senior Director of Global Benefits to lead the design and administration of worldwide health and welfare benefits, retirement programs, and leave policies. You will partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and Procurement to attract top talent while ensuring financial soundness and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee budgeting, benchmarking, and vendor relationships, driving cost efficiency and strategic benefit programs across US, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Benefits, including 5+ years in a leadership role in a large global org.
• Experience with U.S. health & welfare plans and global benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and administration of health and welfare benefits, wellness plans, and leave programs globally.
• Manage global vendor relationships, contracts, and benchmarking analyses.
• Oversee benefits budgeting, cost projections, and plan spending/trends.
• Drive benefits communication and optimize employee experience and operations.

You will partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and Procurement leaders to ensure our benefits attract top talent while remaining financially sound and compliant with statutory regulations. **Your Responsibilities:** * Lead the design, implementation, and administration of all health and welfare benefits, wellness plans, and leave programs across the US, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.* Monitor market trends and ensure compliance with all legal requirements-including ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, Secure 2.0 Act. Serve as a subject matter expert to the Retirement Plan Advisory Committee.* Partner with our broker to manage global vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and benchmarking analysis of all plans and programs.* Oversee the benefits budgeting process, cost projections, monitor plan spending and trend.* Drive the benefits communication strategy and optimize the employee experience and operational efficiency. **What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):** * Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or a related discipline.* Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Benefits, including 5+ years in a leadership role within a large global organization.* Extensive experience in global functional design and U.S. health & welfare plans; strong financial/quantitative skills and proficiency in data-driven decision making. **What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):** * Master's degree and/or professional benefits certification (e.g., CEBS, CBP).* Hands-on experience with Workday HRIS.* Prior experience managing benefit integration and assimilation during M&A activity.* Demonstrated expertise in both U.S. and global benefits administration. **Additional Information:** Travel: 10% Location: Global Elanco Headquarters - Indianapolis, IN - Hybrid Work Environment Don't meet every single requirement?
