Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Director of Accounting in Menlo Park, CA. You will lead the corporate accounting function, manage monthly and quarterly close, and ensure US GAAP compliance. You’ll oversee system implementations, automation projects, and scale a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate across teams, drive internal controls, and interact with auditors. This role emphasizes leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution in a growth company.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
• 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle ERP, Workday, Coupa, Oracle FCCS).

Responsibilities

• Lead full month-end close and consolidation for global accounting.
• Oversee opEx accrual, prepaids, payroll accounting, and intercompany.
• Support product accounting with technical accounting team.
• Identify process improvements to shorten close time.
• Build scalable solutions, including AI initiatives.
• Lead ERP and system implementations as financial systems DRI.
• Coordinate audits and maintain internal controls per Sarbanes‑Oxley.
• Develop cross-functional relationships and scale the team.
