Job summary

Fitch Ratings’ Funds & Asset Management group in New York is seeking a Senior Director to lead the team, shape research, and advance rating methodologies. You will oversee coverage across all segments in NA, EMEA, and APAC and help develop the firm’s analytical framework.

We offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement with up to two remote days, and opportunities to mentor staff, build investor relations, and participate in industry-facing research and events in a fast-evolving sector.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in credit analysis, with funds or structured finance exposure.
• Proven experience managing teams and delivering multi-stakeholder projects.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound academic track record to at least first university degree level, preferably in finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or computer science

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the team and drive execution of key initiatives, including development of new rating methodologies, models, operational infrastructure, and research
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members, and support the group’s continued growth
• Build and maintain senior relationships with investors, bankers, and fund managers; represent Fitch at industry events and webinars
• Evaluate complex transactions involving funds and structured products, integrating quantitative modelling, qualitative analysis, and legal documentation review
• Lead due diligence meetings with fund managers and lenders; Produce research on trends and developments across covered sectors
• Chair rating committees and provide analytical guidance
