Job summary

Fitch Ratings, a leading global credit rating agency, is seeking a Director in the Funds & Asset Management group in New York. You will analyze fund and structured finance credits, develop models, review legal docs, and present ratings to committees.

The ideal candidate has finance experience with funds or structured finance, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of SQL/VBA. Fitch offers hybrid work, trainings, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance with exposure to funds, structured finance transactions, or debt underwriting or lending.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to develop financial models.
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze quantitative and qualitative factors affecting fund and asset management credit quality.
• Review legal documentation for transactions (indentures, prospectuses, etc).
• Develop financial models and databases for ratings analysis.
• Participate in on-site due diligence meetings with fund managers.
• Present rating recommendations to committees and stakeholders.
• Contribute to research on trends affecting funds and asset management sectors.
• Engage with investors, bankers, fund managers and market participants at industry events.
