Job summary

The Maglio Companies are seeking a Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance to lead food safety, quality assurance, sanitation, and occupational health and safety programs in our Wisconsin operation.

You will ensure regulatory and customer compliance, maintain effective systems, and develop employees through training, coaching, and performance management while collaborating with Sales, Operations, Maintenance and other departments to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in QA/related field; 5–7 years QA/food safety leadership.
• Knowledge of GFSI audit schemes and regulatory compliance (USDA/FDA).
• Experience developing and mentoring staff; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
• Lead third-party audits and customer safety standards compliance.
• Develop employees through training, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee sanitation, environmental monitoring, and safety programs.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Maintenance and others on quality initiatives.
• Maintain food safety software systems and documentation.
