Base pay range
$225,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr
Coda Search is partnering with market-leading, publicly traded in NYC . This high-impact leadership role will oversee all SEC reporting requirements for the firm, working closely with senior executives and cross‑functional teams. The position reports directly to the SVP, Controller, and CAO, and offers the opportunity to shape reporting strategy at a company recognized for its strong performance and collaborative culture.
About the Role
The Senior Director will lead the financial reporting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all SEC filings. You will be a strategic partner to Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Asset Operations, while managing relationships with external auditors and supporting the firm’s continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, review, and filing of all SEC documents, including 10‑Ks, 10‑Qs, 8‑Ks, and other required filings.
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, US GAAP, and SOX requirements across all reporting processes.
- Coordinate quarterly and annual earnings release preparation in partnership with Investor Relations and senior leadership.
- Manage external auditor relationships and facilitate reviews and audits to meet all filing deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect, validate, and consolidate financial data for SEC filings.
- Support the Acquisitions team by analyzing transaction impacts and ensuring proper revenue recognition and disclosure.
- Prepare technical accounting memos for complex transactions and maintain documentation for compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in public accounting and/or senior‑level roles within a publicly traded company.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage high‑performing teams and cross‑functional projects.
