Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Vice President, Finance, the Senior Director of Finance will take the lead role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the fiscal health of our operations within North America and Market Access consulting. This position will be responsible for developing and overseeing financial planning, analysis, and reporting while driving efficiencies and supporting business growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management within the consulting industry.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to North American operations and the global Market Access consulting group, aligning financial goals with business objectives.
  2. Develop, implement, and oversee the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and objectives.
  3. Lead the preparation of detailed financial reports and forecasts, offering insights and recommendations to support decision-making by the leadership team.
  4. Leverage enterprise data to develop key KPIs that track and report the organization’s financial performance, down to the project level.
  5. Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  6. Collaborate with regional and global leadership to support strategic initiatives and drive financial performance.
  7. Implement and maintain effective financial systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  8. Identify profitability improvement opportunities to enhance business results.
  9. Produce monthly in-depth reports and analyses of the business unit.
  10. Work closely with the business to define action plans and track progress.
  11. Strive for continuous process improvement, standardization, and simplification in assigned areas.
  12. Generate ad hoc analysis and reports as needed.
  13. Perform related duties as assigned.
Travel Requirements:

May be required to travel occasionally for business meetings (less than 10%).

Education, Experience & Skillset Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience.
  • Thorough understanding of company philosophy, strategic direction, goals, and objectives.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management to develop business strategies and tactical plans.
  • Strong influence and change management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills in analytical environments.
  • Experience in process development and improvement efforts.
  • Advanced expertise in financial, mathematical, and statistical modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
  • Leadership skills to lead initiatives and facilitate meetings.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Project, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
