Job summary

ATCC seeks a Senior Director, Facilities, Engineering & EHS to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of Facilities, Engineering, and EHS functions on a global scale. The role guides a ~20 FTE team reporting to the COO and shapes risk management, resilience, and enterprise planning for infrastructure and equipment.

The position drives operational excellence, asset lifecycle management, and readiness for a state-of-the-art biologics manufacturing facility on the Manassas VA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 18 or more years' experience, including 4+ years of supervisory experience.
• Progressive leadership experience in Facilities management and EHS within life sciences, biopharma, R&D+Manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and operate with autonomy in a complex, regulated biologics manufacturing and research environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NIH, CDC, and state/local regulations.
• Expertise in biosafety, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance.
• Proven track record of driving Operational excellence and management of large Operations and capital budgets (> $25 Million Annual).
• Preferred: Experience overseeing a network of sites and successful greenfield biologics facility start-ups.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of EHS programs across regulatory frameworks and waste management.
• Facilities & Infrastructure Performance, Oper. Excellence, and Strategic Planning.
• Engineering oversight to support R&D, Operations, and Supply chain.
• Capital Planning & Lifecycle Management with Quality/Validation.
• External stakeholder engagement with regulatory bodies and utilities.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across EH&S, Facilities, and Engineering.
