Job summary

Planned Parenthood Federation of America seeks a strategic Sr. Director of Estates & Special Gifts to lead estates-in-probate, life income gifts, and special gifts programs. You will drive revenue targets and ensure high-quality gift planning services for donors and estates.

The role reports to the National Director of Gift Planning within the Individual Giving department and emphasizes regulatory compliance, equity, and collaboration with affiliates. Travel approximately 5% of time.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in development, with 3–5 years in Gift Planning.
• Direct experience closing complex life income gifts (annuities, trusts, pools).
• Strong grasp of tax laws, wills, and financial planning.
• Proficient with CRM systems and gift reporting tools.
• Experience engaging diverse communities and donors.

Responsibilities

• Lead three revenue streams: estates-in-probate, life income gifts, and special gifts to meet targets.
• Oversee estates-in-probate, endowments, and IRA gifts programs.
• Deliver compliant contracts, tax forms, and donor substantiation.
• Collaborate with National Director and VP on planning and strategy.
• Develop a diverse, equitable fundraising program and train staff.
