Job summary

Detroit Public Schools Community District seeks a Senior Director of ESE Systems & Analytics to lead the ESE data and systems function. You will oversee PowerSchool Special Programs, improve data quality, and align MTSS with district academic goals.

The role partners with Data Services to build tools for district analysts, interfaces with senior leadership, and drives compliance in IEP workflows and state reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a focus in computer science, information systems, business administration, education administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in student information systems or related technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ESE Systems & Analytics team, establishing workflows, onboarding, and documentation standards.
• Own the district's relationship with PowerSchool vendor for PSSP: contracts, configuration, and issue escalation.
• Define reporting needs, translate technical requirements for non-technical users, and drive data-driven decisions.
