Job summary

City of New York's Department of City Planning seeks a Senior Director of Enterprise Application Services to lead the agency's application portfolio. You will direct multiple software teams delivering .NET/C#/SQL/Azure, open‑source stacks, and Dynamics 365, aligning architecture with enterprise goals and governance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science with 3+ years progressively responsible IT leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant IT leadership experience acceptable as alternative.
• Experience in enterprise application development and governance across large organizations.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft/Azure and open‑source technology stacks.
• Familiarity with GIS/map‑based web applications and geospatial data workflows.
• Knowledge of NYC cybersecurity policies, ADA/WCAG, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise application services strategy, roadmap, and architectural direction.
• Direct multiple software teams delivering .NET/C#/SQL/Azure, open‑source stacks, and Dynamics 365.
• Oversee ALM/SDLC, governance, and security practices across all development teams.
