Job summary

Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts seeks an Assistant Dean for Recruiting & Admissions to lead undergraduate and graduate enrollment strategy. The role requires a Master’s degree and at least six years in higher education admissions or enrollment management, plus four years of leadership and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; arts/communications/education preferred.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, or enrollment management.
• Minimum four (4) years of leadership experience, including supervision of staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and accountability for recruitment and admissions outcomes across Meadows programs.
• Design and implement a data-driven recruitment and admissions strategy.
• Direct and oversee all Meadows admissions processes for consistency and efficiency.
• Lead collaboration with division chairs, program directors, and faculty on discipline-specific recruitment.
• Leverage data, analytics, and market research to inform strategy and monitor performance.
• Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing recruitment and admissions team.
• Oversee recruitment communications, events, and external representation to build the pipeline.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Financial Aid, Advising, Marketing to ensure smooth student experiences.
