Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Senior Director of Emerging + Portfolio Scientific Communications to shape platform-level narratives for genetic medicines and new modalities. You will partner with senior leaders to craft speeches, presentations, and reusable storytelling modules for enterprise-wide use.

The role requires deep scientific fluency, strategic editorial judgment, and the ability to align external communications with data-led narratives. Indianapolis-based with hybrid work options and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, science, public relations, or related field.
• 10+ years of communications experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare environments.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Develop platform-level narratives for Lilly's emerging science portfolio.
• Support executive speeches, presentations, and storytelling modules for senior leaders.
• Create reusable storytelling modules for enterprise-wide use across Global Communications.
• Drive communications strategy for emerging science at key scientific forums.
• Monitor competitive landscape and develop proactive positioning frameworks.
• Lead media strategy for landmark scientific milestones and platform stories.
• Collaborate with Data and Consumer Science Communications to ground narratives in data.
