Job summary

ThinKom Solutions, Inc. seeks a Director of Software Engineering to lead the software organization, set technical direction, and drive delivery momentum across SW Development, SW Quality Assurance and SW DevOps.

You will shape architecture, governance, and process improvements, mentor senior engineers, manage program plans, and ensure mature, secure, maintainable systems as the company scales. The role requires a strong background in embedded software, C/C++, Java, Linux, and Agile, and offers

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of professional software development with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience with embedded software coding and SW requirements.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Java, Linux, MATLAB, Python, Bash.
• Experience with Agile development and release governance.
• ITAR/EAR exposure or equivalent regulated environments.
• Experience writing test plans and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership to SW Development, SW QA and SW DevOps teams.
• Set performance expectations and foster a high‑performance culture with Agile methods.
• Oversee program planning estimates and multi‑program resource allocation.
• Shape software architecture and end‑to‑end lifecycle design and testing.
• Maintain release governance, configuration management, and traceability.
