Job description

National Electrical Programs | Service Operations | Multi-Site Rollouts

We are recruiting an experienced electrical operations leader to oversee a large national electrical projects and service organization supporting multi-site commercial and retail customers across the United States.

This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who understands the electrical business from the field through executive operations. The ideal candidate may have started their career as an Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, Superintendent, Service Manager, or Project Manager and progressed into broader operational leadership.

The right person will bring the technical credibility to lead experienced electrical teams, combined with the business and operational skills to manage people, customers, financial performance, subcontractors, and complex national programs.

This leader will oversee established teams responsible for electrical projects, service, maintenance, special projects, and nationwide rollout programs.

Programs range from regional initiatives involving multiple locations to large enterprise deployments across hundreds or thousands of customer sites.

You will lead department managers and project/service teams while working closely with executive leadership to improve operational performance, develop people, strengthen processes, and support continued growth.

What You Will Lead
  • Provide leadership for multiple teams performing electrical projects, service, maintenance, and special projects for national commercial accounts.
  • Oversee large-scale multi-site electrical rollout programs, remodels, upgrades, and facility initiatives.
  • Lead department managers, project leadership, field personnel, and supporting operational teams.
  • Manage electrical programs involving:
  • Lighting and lighting controls
  • Electrical upgrades and retrofits
  • New store and facility installations
  • Service and preventative maintenance
  • Low-voltage and related facility systems
  • Provide operational support and problem-solving when teams encounter complex field, customer, scheduling, or resource challenges.
  • Oversee staffing, budgeting, forecasting, project execution, and operational performance.
  • Establish performance expectations and metrics around safety, quality, productivity, schedule, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Manage and negotiate subcontractor, vendor, and service-provider relationships.
  • Ensure projects meet NEC, OSHA, customer, and company safety and quality requirements.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability.
  • Partner with executive leadership on growth strategies, workforce planning, process improvement, and organizational scalability.
  • Build strong relationships with national customers and serve as a senior operational resource for key accounts.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor managers and field leaders while creating a culture of accountability, recognition, and operational excellence.

We are looking for someone who has grown through the electrical industry and understands what it takes to execute work successfully in the field.

Ideal experience includes:
  • 15+ years of progressive experience within electrical construction, electrical service, maintenance, or related operations.
  • Significant leadership experience overseeing electrical field operations, service organizations, project teams, or multiple departments.
  • Experience managing managers, not simply individual projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction and service.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed or multi-site customers.
  • Exposure to national or regional rollout programs is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous electrical projects across different markets.
  • Strong understanding of labor planning, field productivity, scheduling, subcontractor management, and project execution.
  • Financial leadership experience including budgets, forecasts, margins, and operational performance.
  • Strong customer-facing and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where priorities and customer requirements can change quickly.

Electrical Background Preferred

Candidates who have personally progressed through the electrical trade are especially attractive.

Preferred backgrounds include:
  • Electrical Superintendent / General Superintendent
  • Electrical Service Manager
  • Field Operations Manager
  • Electrical Operations Manager
  • Division or Branch Operations Leader
  • Electrical Project Executive

A Master Electrician license, electrical contractor license, PMP certification, or Electrical Engineering background is highly valued but not required if the candidate possesses significant electrical operational experience.
