Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Sr. Director of Electrical Engineering to lead a team of Discipline Directors and Managers in a flexible Colorado setting. You will provide deep technical leadership, develop staff, and ensure project compliance with standards while supporting multi-client utilities and oil & gas projects.

With a PE license and 15+ years in the sector, you will guide engineering design, approvals, and staffing across locations, and travel as needed to client sites and offices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.S.) required.
15+ years in Utilities and/or Oil & Gas industries.
5+ years with leadership/management experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
Strong construction knowledge and field experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow the Electrical Engineering team, mentoring Directors/Managers.
Act as SME and Engineer of Record as needed.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes and best practices.
Develop equipment specifications, bid packages, technical reviews and docs.
Oversee power system protection, relaying schemes and distribution systems.
Collaborate with clients, review proposals and staff requirements.
