Job summary

Hello Heart is seeking a Senior Director, Device Systems Engineer in the United States to lead end-to-end device development—from concept to production and scaling. You will coordinate hardware, firmware, manufacturing, validation, and field performance with cross-functional teams to drive reliable, scalable devices used to prevent cardiac events.

You will mentor engineers, enable manufacturing readiness, and apply AI tooling to improve planning, analysis, and automation in a regulated health

Qualifications

• 12+ years in connected hardware, embedded systems, or medical devices
• Experience taking products from concept to commercialization
• Experience with hardware, firmware, manufacturing validation, and field performance

Responsibilities

• Own device product lanes from concept through end-of-life
• Serve as technical systems owner across hardware, firmware, manufacturing, validation, connectivity, and field performance
• Lead cross-functional execution across Engineering, Product, Hardware Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Manufacturing, and external partners
• Drive executive-level tradeoff decisions on performance, reliability, cost, schedule, quality, and user experience
• Lead product planning, execution reviews, risk management, and milestone delivery
• Develop relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers to scale devices
• Improve manufacturing diagnostics, production testing, and factory automation
• Lead root-cause investigations across hardware, firmware, manufacturing, cloud systems, and data
