Job summary

Gartner seeks a Senior Director to lead within the Business and Technology Insights group. The role focuses on creating must‑have insights, market predictions and best practices for world‑leading organizations.

You will lead thought leadership, drive client engagements and guide a team of analysts across multiple markets. Success requires executive presence, deep data expertise, and strong presentation skills, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience.
• Expertise in data architecture and data operations.
• Expertise in database or data integration practices.
• Experience in AI-ready data management approaches.
• Experience with using agents in data management processes.
• Demonstrate executive presence; credibility with executives and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver quality work.
• Demonstrate excellence in research and writing ability.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to engage clients.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, thought provoking, and highly leveraged insights content.
• Develop new insights and ideas through thought leadership for client needs.
• Develop in-depth analysis to identify root causes and drive strategy.
• Demonstrate thought leadership to establish Insights positions across a team.
• Provide provocative independent insights to evolve research agenda.
• Research, analyze and predict market trends to provide actionable insights.
• Provide clients with actionable advice via virtual or in-person interactions.
• Create and deliver high value presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
• Support BTI and Sales by serving as voice of the market to drive client engagement.
• Provide high quality and timely content peer review.
• Build credibility to represent Gartner insights and methodology.
• Participate in innovation and research discussions across the Insights community.
• Identify research process improvements or develop new processes.
• Be a mentor and coach to junior team members.
