Job summary

Travelers seeks a Sr Director, Cybersecurity Operations to lead a team responsible for detection, response, and disruption of cyber incidents enterprise-wide. You will shape strategy, influence leadership, and align security goals with business objectives.

You will oversee incident containment, policy development, and cross-functional planning with internal and external partners, ensuring protection of critical infrastructure and risk reduction.

Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$157,500.00 - $259,900.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Cybersecurity operations is responsible for the identification, protection, detection, response and disruption of cybersecurity events across Travelers through critical analysis, threat intelligence gathering, and agile cybersecurity techniques to assess, support, and resolve cyber incidents. As a Sr Director, Cybersecurity Ops, you will lead a team of cybersecurity professionals to ensure timely detection, identification, and alerting and response of possible attacks, intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities and distinguish these incidents and events from benign activities. You are responsible for influencing leadership support and resources in order to create a strategy in alignment with cybersecurity's goals and objectives and reduce overall risk across the enterprise.

• Oversee protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered.
• Define and implement policies and procedures to ensure protection of critical infrastructure.
• Conduct strategic and tactical planning efforts with internal and external partners across all cyber activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• Degree or Certificate in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field.
• 8 years of experience in cybersecurity with experience in recognizing and categorizing types of vulnerabilities and associated attacks and applying cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.
• 2 years of experience as a technical lead with formal management of teams.
• Broad knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, network security methodologies, cyber threats and vulnerabilities, authentication, authorization, and access control methods.
• Ability to see the big picture and is fully aware of technology and business directions.
• Advanced organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult on projects and present information effectively to all levels of the organization.

What is a Must Have?

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.
• 7 years of experience working in a Technology related field or role.
• 1 year of direct people leadership experience.
