Job summary

Rowan Digital Infrastructure seeks a Director, Customer Development to lead senior customer relationships, shape a pipeline of large capacity opportunities, and set a new standard for how capacity is sold and delivered.

This role requires deep experience with hyperscale and AI customers, multi-stakeholder deals, and collaboration with ECO, Finance, and Legal. The position involves 25–30% travel and mentoring a growing team, in a hybrid Denver-based environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years in data center, digital infrastructure, cloud, or adjacent industries with hyperscale/AI exposure.
• Track record of meeting quota and building key accounts.
• Experience leading complex multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles.
• Strong understanding of data center fundamentals (power, capacity, delivery timelines).
• Ability to think across customer, commercial, technical, site and business strategy.
• Executive presence and strong written/verbal communication.
• Collaborative, direct, results-oriented, and able to operate in a fast-moving company.
• Willingness to travel to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Own and deepen relationships with key customers including hyperscalers and AI labs.
• Originate and shape opportunities across the site and campus portfolio.
• Lead pursuits from first conversation through commercial alignment with the BD team.
• Gather and communicate structured customer insight on growth areas and needs.
• Coordinate with ECO, Finance, and Legal to align commitments and delivery plans.
• Contribute to new engagement models and translate customer needs into internal work.
• Introduce ideas to improve customer engagement and scalable practices.
• Maintain pipeline and account plans in CRM with BD-OS reporting.
• Mentor team members and raise standards for engagements.
