Senior Director of Continuous Improvement
Catalent’s Baltimore facility is a leading center for biologics development and manufacturing, offering state‑of‑the‑art capabilities in clinical and commercial supply. The site supports a wide range of services, including process development, drug substance manufacturing, and aseptic fill/finish for biologics and advanced therapies. The Senior Director, Continuous Improvement (C.I.) is the senior transformation leader for the Maryland sites. This role is accountable for building the site operating system, aligning the leadership team around the highest value business priorities, and converting strategy into disciplined execution across safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, and client commitments. This leader is not limited to leading improvement projects. The role functions as an enterprise change leader and Chief of Staff partner to the General Manager, translating site strategy into governance, routines, metrics, accountability, and sustained behavioral change across functions.
The role will lead operational transformation through lean, six sigma, daily management, strategy deployment, problem solving, value stream improvement, digital enablement, and disciplined change management. The emphasis is on building the management system that makes improvement repeatable, measurable, and owned by the business. By strengthening execution and decision making, this role will contribute to Catalent’s Patient First philosophy by helping the Maryland sites reliably deliver high quality medicines to clients and patients with speed, compliance, and financial discipline.
The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $250,000–285,000 plus an annual bonus target. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi‑state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
