Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Director - Construction and Engineering Services Capital Procurement to lead engagement with Construction Managers, Design Builders, EPC/EPCMs, and Architectural and Engineering firms. This role involves negotiating deals and developing our supply base to support a $27B capital portfolio. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience negotiating construction service agreements for mega industrial projects.

You will collaborate with design, construction, project controls, contracts, and legal teams to facilitate the delivery of new life sciences manufacturing sites. The focus is on planning and executing procurement and commercial activities for capital projects, negotiating critical contracts, and developing regional strategies aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead procurement strategies for large-scale capital projects across regions, ensuring strategic alignment.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and firms.
  3. Negotiate billion-dollar contracts for industrial projects, ensuring value.
  4. Drive supplier development and grow the supply base.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to meet project requirements.
  6. Influence senior management and partners on key decisions.
  7. Monitor market trends for cost savings and efficiencies.
  8. Ensure compliance with procurement standards and regulations.
  9. Provide leadership and mentorship to the procurement team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (Supply Chain, Construction, Engineering, Architecture).
  • At least 10 years of experience in construction commercial/cost control, supply chain, contracts, or project management.
  • Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Proven track record negotiating billion-dollar contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Deep knowledge of industrial construction contracting and supplier development.
  • Strong commercial, strategic, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in senior procurement roles within complex organizations.
  • Knowledge of industry trends in capital procurement and mega industrial projects.
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, PMP are preferred.

Compensation for this role ranges from $150,000 to $220,000, depending on experience and location. Full-time employees are eligible for bonuses, 401(k), health benefits, and other perks. Lilly reserves the right to modify compensation and benefits at its discretion.
