Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a Senior Director of Compute Platform Engineering to lead embedded platform software, CI/CD infrastructure, and engineering practices across the organization. The role focuses on increasing developer productivity, reducing cycle time, and integrating AI/LLM tools to deliver secure and scalable releases.

The position is hybrid with an expectation to work 2 days per week from an HPE office, spanning Ft. Collins, CO and Spring, TX locations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with focus on embedded/firmware platforms.
• 5+ years in engineering management or leadership of managers.
• Hands-on experience with embedded Linux and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience applying AI/LLM tools in engineering environments.
• Contributions to open source communities and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of 20+ engineers across embedded Linux, CI/CD, build infra, and developer tooling.
• Develop and execute the strategic vision, translating it into roadmaps and plans.
• Optimize developer throughput by measuring end-to-end pipelines and implementing improvements.
• Integrate AI/LLM tooling into engineering processes for code generation, testing, and review.
• Hire, mentor, and grow managers and senior engineers; drive secure, scalable release practices.
