Corewell Health is seeking a Senior Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services to oversee clinical pharmacy programs, formulary strategy, and medication safety across the health system in Grand Rapids. You will partner with physician leadership to advance population health initiatives and maintain high reliability in patient care.

You will lead residency training, develop training programs, and engage with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
• Preferred Master's Degree Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or Management or related field
• 7 years of relevant experience
• Experience working in an organization comparable to size and/or complexity of Corewell Health System Required
• 5 years of relevant experience Pharmacy leadership experience Required
• Successful completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 program or equivalent experience Preferred
• Successful completion of ASHP-accredited PGY2 program or equivalent experience Preferred
• Active involvement in professional Pharmacy organizations (ex: ASHP) Preferred
• LIC-Clinical Pharmacist - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required
• LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates and controls clinical pharmacy services and programs that support population health, risk-based provider agreement, and ambulatory care clinical pharmacists.
• Leads the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee including formulary and drug utilization management strategy and governance for pharmacist privileging and credentialing.
• Serves as a liaison to physician leadership and medical staff.
• Executes medication safety initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to drive quality, safety and patient experience.
• Develops and implements a departmental vision aligned with business goals.
• Develops and maintains training, education, and competency programs for pharmacy services to support a strong workforce for safe, efficient patient care.
• Coordinates Pharmacy Residency training programs across Corewell Health to standardize and ensure program excellence.
• Maintains relationships with professional organizations, regulatory agencies, teaching institutions, and community to promote values and culture.

Education

Bachelor's Degree of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy

Master's Degree Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or Management or related field

MI Pharmacist Licensure

MI Pharmacist Licensed (Controlled Substance)
