Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Director, Clinical Development to lead clinical strategy in Chronic Weight Management and to drive global scientific and medical evidence plans.

In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop external relationships with opinion leaders, participate in safety and regulatory interactions, and contribute to trial design and regulatory submissions for breakthrough therapies.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• 5 years of clinical research and/or basic science research experience.
• 5 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, projects, or directing the allocation of resources.
• Preferred: 5+ years of clinical research and/or basic science research with clinical teaching and patient care in obesity and weight management.
• Preferred: experience in biopharmaceutical industry and regulatory context (GCP, FDA/EMEA).
• Strong scientific/clinical judgment and ability to communicate complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of the global scientific/medical evidence plan.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate medical, scientific, and commercial input into the development program.
• Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and participate in safety and regulatory interactions.
• Provide clinical input during trials and interpret data.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions, CSRs and publications.
