Senior Director, Client Development Ad Sales - Capital One Ad Solutions (Remote)

Capital One Ad Solutions is seeking an ambitious, high-impact Senior Director to join our Partnerships leadership team. In this sales leadership role, you will be directly responsible for leading and scaling a team of Account Managers while personally driving revenue across a select portfolio of our highest-value enterprise clients.

We are looking for a sharp ad sales leader with deep expertise in digital advertising, performance marketing, data-driven campaign optimization, and strategic account growth. In this client-facing role, you will lead the charge in connecting enterprise merchants with Capital One Ad Solutions’ suite of products, architecting high-yield campaigns, steering complex ad tech integrations, and unlocking massive incremental growth for top partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive & Scale Sales Talent: Lead, coach, and empower an elite team of Account Managers to exceed aggressive revenue targets and optimize campaign performance.
• Own Enterprise Merchant Relationships: Direct-manage a flagship portfolio of enterprise accounts, acting as their primary senior partner to unlock high-dollar ad spend and build long-term business value.
• Cultivate C-Suite Partnerships: Target, engage, and negotiate with executive decision-makers to position Capital One Ad Solutions as an indispensable growth driver.
• Architect Custom Campaign Solutions: Partner with merchants to design high-performing, tailored ad campaigns and execute seamless technical integrations (APIs, proprietary ad platforms).
• Monetize Through Data Analytics: Leverage deep transaction insights, audience data, and campaign performance metrics to optimize client ROI and identify untapped revenue opportunities.
• Shape Product & Revenue Strategy: Collaborate closely with Product, Revenue Management, and Tech teams to inform product roadmaps, monetize new ad inventory, and elevate ad tech solutions based on market demand.
• Champion Brand & Pipeline: Accelerate pipeline growth, represent Capital One Ad Solutions at major industry events, and lead high-stakes executive pitch presentations.

What Success Looks Like

• Proven Ad Sales Leader: A strong track record of building, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing ad sales and account management teams.
• Enterprise Deal Maker: Deep experience navigating complex ad sales cycles, closing high-value deals, and retaining Fortune 500 merchant partnerships.
• Performance & Data Strategist: Exceptional ability to turn complex campaign analytics, attribution models, and transaction data into high-converting sales narratives.
• Ad Tech & Digital Marketing Expert: Native understanding of digital ad ecosystems, affiliate models, performance marketing, and technical platform integrations.
• Cross-Functional Orchestrator: Skilled at aligning internal teams from product engineering to revenue management to build scalable ad products that clients love.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 14 years of experience in strategic client-facing ad sales, account management, or business development
• At least 5 years of direct people management experience leading sales or account management teams
• At least 8 years of experience analyzing advertising performance, campaign data, or sales analytics

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in digital ad sales, affiliate marketing, performance media, or strategic merchant partnerships
• 8+ years of experience leading, scaling, and mentoring high-velocity ad sales and account management teams
• Proven track record of managing, growing, and retaining C-suite relationships within enterprise strategic merchants
• Demonstrated success executing complex technical sales and campaign launches on sophisticated ad tech platforms
• Master-level executive presentation and negotiation skills

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
