Zscaler, a leader in cloud security, seeks a Senior Director, CEO Communications to shape the Founder, Chairman, and CEO's global messaging. This hybrid role (Santa Clara preferred) drives an omnichannel engine across earned media, keynotes, digital channels, and rapid-response moments.

You will translate deep technical vision into clear business value, ghostwrite executive content, and partner with PR, Legal, IR, Product, and Exec Operations to protect market leadership.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools to augment workflows.
• 12–15+ years in executive communications within enterprise tech, cybersecurity, or cloud SaaS.
• Proven track record counseling and supporting a founder/CEO of a public, multi-billion-dollar enterprise technology company.
• Exceptional writing, speechwriting, and ghostwriting with a published portfolio.
• Proven track record pitching tier-1 business and financial press and securing flagship event speaking slots.
• Proven success building executive platforms on LinkedIn and X using short-form video and multimedia strategy.

Role

We are looking for a Senior Director, CEO Communications to join our team. This is a hybrid (with Santa Clara, CA preferred) or remote role , reporting to the VP, Corporate Communications in the Global Corporate Communications department. Serving as the strategic architect and hands-on driver of Zscaler’s Founder, Chairman, and CEO Jay Chaudhry’s global communications platform, you will translate deep technical vision into high-reach, impactful narratives. In this high-visibility role, you will build an omnichannel CEO comms engine, elevate executive share of voice, and direct strategic positioning across earned media, global keynotes, digital channels, and rapid-response moments.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• - Build, operationalize, and lead an omnichannel CEO communications engine spanning earned media, marquee speaking stages, digital channels, and executive presentations

• - 12–15+ years of progressive experience in executive communications, CEO communications, PR, and narrative development within enterprise tech, cybersecurity, or cloud SaaS
• - Proven track record directly counseling and supporting a founder/CEO of a public, multi-billion-dollar enterprise technology company
• - Exceptional writing, speechwriting, and ghostwriting skills with a portfolio of published op-eds, executive blogs, keynote scripts, and social content
• - Demonstrated track record pitching tier-1 business and financial press, securing flagship event speaking slots, and prepping executives for live TV
• - Proven success building executive platforms on LinkedIn and X using short-form video, commentary, and multimedia strategy
• - Expected travel 30%

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range$203,000-$290,000 USD
