Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Director, Centralized Manufacturing Technical Operations to lead the NPI-focused function for its machine learning product portfolio. You will coordinate strategies across silicon, memory, and optics, unifying plans into cohesive, executable programs and overseeing a multi-disciplinary team across NPI and sustaining phases.

You will drive end-to-end product engineering, production, and NPI processes, and work with Ops PMs, SCPMs, and PMEs globally to scale

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in product management, technical program management, or hardware operations leadership within semiconductor, cloud infrastructure, or hardware environments.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering, operations, or supply chain organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Operations, or Business or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex supply chain programs for machine learning products from NPI to EOL.
• Look across commodity silos (silicon, memory, optics) to align technical and operational strategies into unified roadmaps.
• Lead, scale, and manage a global team of Ops PMs, SCPMs, and PMEs across multiple locations.
• Enable standard tools, processes, and OKRs to scale operations; manage partner differences and optimize throughput.

Minimum qualifications:

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience managing product lifecycles spanning product engineering, manufacturing production, and National Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
• Experience structuring commercial agreements and aligning technical roadmaps with external contract manufacturers, suppliers, and ODMs.
• Technical familiarity with advanced hardware commodities, including custom silicon (such as Tensor Processing Units/TPUs), High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM), and optical networking.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and scale geographically distributed technical teams.

As the Senior Director, Centralized Manufacturing Technical Operations, you will lead the National Product Introduction (NPI)-focused function aligned to Google's Machine Learning product portfolio. This position is responsible for coordinating strategies across commodities—such as silicon, memory, and optics—to compile disjointed plans into cohesive, integrated program plans.

You will oversee a multi-disciplinary organization comprising Operations Program Managers (Ops PMs), Supply Chain Program Managers (SCPMs), and Product Manufacturing Engineers (PMEs) across both the NPI and sustaining phases. The role requires end-to-end management spanning three core tenets: product engineering, production, and National Product Introduction (NPI) processes.

• Look across individual commodity silos (including silicon, memory, and optics) to align technical and operational strategies into unified, executable roadmaps.
• Lead, scale, and manage a global team of Ops PMs, SCPMs, and PMEs across multiple locations. Define resourcing requirements and operational structures to handle scaling.
• Enable the standard tools, processes, and OKRs required to scale operations efficiently. Manage partner differences, eliminate operational outliers, and optimize throughput and capacity.
