Job summary

UMass Lowell is seeking an Assistant Director of Career Advising & Programming to lead career advising and campus-wide career development initiatives. This role builds cross-department collaborations to create equitable, student-centered programs that advance students’ professional success.

The position focuses on developing and delivering programming, advising, and partnerships across colleges and the university, with potential evening/weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in career development, experiential education, student development, employer relations and/or talent acquisition
• Demonstrated experience in a career-related counseling or advising capacity
• Master’s degree in relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in career services with at least 2 of those years in a higher education environment
• Program development and program evaluation experience
• Experience with multi-disciplinary programming

Responsibilities

• Focus on the career advising, as well as college-based and university wide career development related programming
• Develop collaborative relationships to ensure innovative, equitable programs designed to support students’ professional success
