Job summary
Novo Nordisk is seeking a Senior Director of Marketing and Portfolio Strategy to shape the US cardiometabolics portfolio and commercialization approach. You will own the US commercial strategy for pipeline assets, working across TA strategies, market access, and analytics to maximize value and ensure successful launches.
You will lead a team of pipeline strategy marketers, influence trial design and regulatory planning, and partner with global teams to drive profitable growth and long-term
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- 15+ years of experience in marketing/commercial strategy in pharma; experience in early commercialization
- 5+ years people management and leadership experience; proven coaching and talent development
- Experience supporting business development evaluations (in-licensing or M&A) preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, competitive market dynamics and trends
- Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, business cases and ROI across pipeline assets
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead US commercial strategies for Cardiometabolics pipeline assets across TAMs
- Lead cross-functional teams ensuring inputs from Market Access, HE, Medical Affairs, Sales, Brand/Promotional Marketing and Insights
- Provide actionable commercial insights to inform Phase 2/3 trial designs and regulatory development
- Evaluate and size commercial opportunities, including revenue potential and market positioning
- Advance portfolio strategy across therapeutic areas to optimize value and profitability
- Advise annual planning for early products; prioritize pipeline assets; identify risks and mitigation strategies
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to adjust strategies
- Oversee market access and payer strategies and contribute to pre-launch readiness
- Oversee product transitions, align with TA commercial teams, ensure operationalization
- Lead team development, coaching, and performance management
