Job summary

Kyverna Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Director, Clinical Science to lead scientific strategy for CAR T-cell therapy trials in autoimmune diseases. The role partners with operations, regulatory, and commercial teams to align on strategy and execution, and to develop robust clinical development plans.

You will guide trial design, regulatory submissions, and external communications while mentoring a team of clinical scientists.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a life sciences discipline required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in drug development across multiple programs.
• Experience in cell and gene therapy, immunology, autoimmune disease, or related fields preferred.
• Deep understanding of global regulatory frameworks and clinical development pathways required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior clinical scientist for CAR T-cell therapy trials in autoimmune diseases, partnering with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with clinical operations, biometrics, regulatory, and commercial to align strategy and execution.
• Lead design, execution, and interpretation of clinical trials across assigned programs.
• Provide scientific input into development plans, study protocols, and regulatory submissions.
• Develop clinical trial documents including protocols, ICFs, and development plans.
• Lead clinical sections of regulatory documents with collaboration from study physicians.
• Represent Clinical Development to cross-functional leaders and key external partners.
• Engage in external forums (advisory boards, regulatory meetings) to inform strategy.
• Contribute to publications, presentations, and collaborations for scientific narrative.
• Ensure compliance with GCP, corporate policies, and local regulations.
• Mentor and develop senior clinical scientists and staff.
• Foster innovation, accountability, and scientific rigor within the team.
