Senior Director, Business Development, FAS

CAVS-Business Development Full Time 30-39 Hour US

5 days ago Requisition ID: 1080

GA Group is one of the nation's leading financial valuation firms providing a unique collection of services made up of Advisory, Real Estate, Retail, and Wholesale & Industrial solutions, in a combined breadth of expertise to offer tailored results across industries. From operational efficiency and restructuring to growth initiatives, we are committed to converting challenges into strategic advantages and enhancing value for our clients.

GA Group employees enjoy competitive salaries, access to our 401(k)-profit sharing retirement plan, and other benefits including paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, voluntary group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and company paid life and disability coverage.

POSITION SCOPE

GA Group has launched a comprehensive platform to serve clients through its "Core 4" Financial Advisory offerings: Financial Due Diligence (Quality of Earnings), Transaction Opinions, CFO Advisory, and Valuation. The firm also delivers Fixed Asset Advisory and Valuation, and Risk Solutions. We are seeking an entrepreneurial, market-facing Senior Director, Business Development, to originate and grow revenue across this full suite of services in a designated geographic market.

This role is focused on winning and expanding client relationships rather than leading engagement execution. The Senior Director will build and execute the local go-to-market strategy; originate new work; develop relationships with private equity sponsors, investment banks, accounting firms, attorneys, corporate development teams, and other referral sources. They will partner with regional Business Development Officers (BDOs) who lead relationships with GA’s lending-based clients and collaborate closely with service-line leaders, who drive engagement delivery.

The successful candidate will combine credible technical fluency in the full suite of services with a demonstrated record of building a sustainable book of business and representing the firm in the local deal community. This is a highly visible opportunity for a proven originator who wants to build a market-leading presence within a growing national platform.

Targeted geographies: Atlanta, GA or Los Angeles, CA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Own and deliver an annual new-business and cross-sell revenue targets across Quality of Earnings, Transaction Opinions, CFO Advisory, Valuations, Fixed Asset Advisory and Valuation, and Risk Solutions services.
  • Develop and execute an annual business development plan, including revenue objectives, pipeline development, target-client strategy, referral-source strategy, and regional market initiatives.
  • With the existing BDO leader, serve as the senior local representative for GA Group, actively participating in industry organizations, conferences, networking events, office presentations and other market-facing activities.
  • Contribute to national go-to-market strategy, service positioning, and messaging based on regional market intelligence.
  • Originate new engagements across all service lines while expanding relationships with existing clients and referral sources.
  • Build and maintain a differentiated network of senior-level relationships across the local and regional deal ecosystem.
  • Lead pursuit efforts, including opportunity qualification, scope development, fee proposals, and client presentations while leveraging the appropriate support from service line leaders to close opportunities.
  • Own and continuously assess senior client relationships across the transaction and company lifecycle, such as diligence at acquisition, valuation for financing or reporting, CFO support post-close, and fairness or solvency opinions for board-level decisions.
  • Identify and develop cross-selling opportunities, crafting integrated proposals that combine multiple service lines, including coordination with Real Estate, Retail, and Wholesale & Industrial businesses.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM usage, pipeline reporting, and forecasting.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development and origination of financial advisory services within highly reputable transaction advisory, valuation, or professional services firms, such as Big Four, national or leading regional accounting firms, or recognized advisory and valuation boutiques.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline required; CPA, CFA, MBA, or other relevant advanced credential preferred.
  • Demonstrated success originating, winning, and expanding advisory engagements, evidenced by a significant book of business or sustained revenue target attainment.
  • Established network of senior relationships with private equity firms, investment bankers, and/or transaction attorneys in the relevant market.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and pricing judgment.
  • Executive-level presence and communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility with C-suite executives, private equity professionals, lenders, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate technical offerings into clear business value for sophisticated buyers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong personal ownership, and the ability to build within a growing platform.
  • Willingness to travel within the regional market and nationally as needed.
  • Experience with CRM and pipeline management tools.
