The Senior Director of Blue Cross and Blue Shield Strategic Account Services is responsible for creating and delivering a strategic customer growth vision that drives long-term value for customers and transformational opportunities for the company. This role involves managing a group of account teams overseeing health plan payers with significant annual contract value (ACV). The Senior Director will lead by example, instilling a growth mindset and best practices across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing strategic thinking and thought leadership to inspire innovation and transformation.
  2. Supporting teams in developing compelling value propositions.
  3. Offering competitive market insights.
  4. Collaborating with various departments to drive sustainable growth and align with customers' business strategies on digital transformation.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Extensive experience in managing large Blue Cross and Blue Shield health payers.
  • Strong people leadership skills.
  • A deep understanding of the healthcare landscape.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • A proven track record in strategy implementation and financial acumen.
  • The ability to lead through change and ambiguity.
  • 10 years’ experience in managing large (1MM member) health payers.
  • 3+ years in a people leadership role.
  • BA or BS in any field plus relevant job-related experience, MBA preferred.
  • Ability to build trust and approach problems from a curious, ready-to-learn perspective.
