Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Director of Engineering Technical Expert, Sterile Fill, to provide enterprise-level technical leadership for biologics sterile fill engineering across AbbVie’s strategic investment portfolio.

You will shape engineering strategy, set technical direction, and ensure robust execution across capital programs, technology platforms and future manufacturing capabilities, partnering with Quality, Validation, CQV, and external partners to enable safe, compliant, and efficient

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline is required.
Advanced degree is preferred where relevant.

Responsibilities

Provide senior engineering leadership for sterile fill engineering and aseptic processing.
Establish and deploy global engineering standards and governance for biologics sterile fill.
Drive portfolio-wide technical direction, risk management and decision escalation.
Collaborate with Quality, Validation/CQV, EHS and operations to ensure readiness and compliance.
Lead technical input to contamination control strategies, isolators/RABs and cleanroom interfaces.
Coordinate with external partners and cross-functional teams to enable high-quality capital delivery.
