The Long Center in Austin, TX seeks a Director of Programming to shape year-round performing arts offerings, build partnerships, and expand education and outreach. This executive leads inventory planning for Dell Hall and other spaces, collaborates with senior leadership, and guides budgeting, contracts, and fundraising to fuel compelling, well-loved programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years of programming or presenting experience in a performing arts center.
• Broad knowledge of national and international performing arts, agents and trends.
• Proven management experience with team coaching and performance evaluations.
• Experience working with senior leadership and cross-department collaboration.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with event scheduling and ticketing software.

Responsabilités

• Develop and lead year-round programming plan aligned to the Long Center’s mission.
• Negotiate terms for performances and manage relationships with agents.
• Build partnerships with local and national collaborators.
• Design education and outreach programs for students and communities.
• Oversee programming budgets and forecasts with the CFO.
• Lead budgeting, risk management, contracts, and cross-department coordination.
