Job description

The Senior Director of Analyst Relations & Strategic Intelligence is a senior leadership role spanning two interconnected and equally critical functions: owning iQor's industry analyst relationships and the programs that drive recognition and competitive positioning in the market, and leading the intelligence and research function that informs how iQor sees the competitive landscape, allocates resources, and communicates its strategy.

On the analyst relations side, this person is the named, dedicated owner of iQor's relationships across 15+ analyst and advisory firms including Everest Group, NelsonHall, Frost & Sullivan, HFS Research, CMP Research, Forrester, Opus Research, ISG, and Avasant. They own the full AR lifecycle: briefing strategy and execution, evaluation participation, sentiment tracking, executive preparation, and annual Analyst Day. AR is a relationship-dependent function where analyst trust and evaluation familiarity are built over time and require dedicated stewardship.

On the strategic intelligence side, this person leads a team of four market research analysts and owns the company's competitive intelligence program, market research capability, insights synthesis, and positioning for executive communications. The ideal candidate is analytically sharp, relationship-savvy, and equally at home preparing an executive for an Everest Group briefing as they are synthesizing a competitive landscape for a CEO offsite.

Key Responsibilities

Analyst Relations

  • Serve as the named, dedicated owner of iQor's analyst relationships across all active and target firms, ensuring no relationship goes dark, no commitment is missed, and no briefing occurs without proper preparation.
  • Own the end-to-end briefing process: purpose alignment, scheduling, content, executive prep and dry runs, facilitation, follow-up, and outcome logging. Prepare executive presenters on content tailored to each analyst's focus areas and history.
  • Lead iQor's participation in all major evaluation cycles including Everest Group PEAK Matrix, NelsonHall NEAT, Frost & Sullivan Radar, HFS Horizons, Forrester Wave, Avasant RadarView, Opus IntelliView, CMP BPO Prism, and others by coordinating RFI responses, data submissions, and executive interviews.
  • Monitor analyst publications and event commentary for iQor mentions, competitor positioning, and market sentiment; report material shifts to leadership proactively.
  • Own the AR track and content for the annual Analyst Day; coordinate any analyst participation in CAB sessions, webinars, roundtables, and key industry events.
  • Maintain tight alignment with Corporate Communications on approved messaging. All analyst-facing communications must reflect cleared positioning. Manage AR-related vendor relationships, firm subscriptions, and program budget.
  • Own and continuously evolve the company's CI program including platform management (Klue or equivalent), research team intake and workflows, external research partnerships, and stakeholder training across a broad, cross-functional user base.
  • Develop and maintain competitive benchmarking, heatmaps, market trend reports, and real-time news digests tailored to strategic verticals, service lines, and buyer segments.
  • Design and execute a high volume of custom market research projects annually, ranging from quick-turn competitive snapshots to multi-week strategic analyses, using syndicated and primary research tools and sources.
  • Manage win/loss and VOC programs; conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis and deliver actionable findings to leadership. Advise on market segmentation, sizing, scoring, and opportunity mapping to inform where the company sells, resources, and invests.
  • Synthesize intelligence across competitive, market, buyer, and operational streams into coherent strategic frameworks; serve as a thought partner to executive leadership on high-stakes business questions.

Executive Communications

  • Partner with the executive leadership team to develop compelling narratives, messaging frameworks, and strategic storylines that translate complex intelligence into clear, persuasive presentations for board meetings, leadership offsites, investor conversations, and all-hands events using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Develop and maintain core messaging architecture: company positioning, value propositions, vertical narratives, and competitive differentiation statements.
  • Prepare executives for high-stakes internal and external engagements with briefing materials, talking points, and Q&A preparation. Support Sales with solutioning narratives and competitive positioning for major pursuits and RFPs.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, develop, and retain a team of four market research analysts by setting clear priorities, managing workload distribution, establishing development paths, and building a culture of analytical rigor and executive-quality output.
  • Define and track team KPIs including research volume, timeliness, accuracy, stakeholder satisfaction, and business impact; report monthly to leadership. Own the intelligence program budget, vendor relationships, and tool stack.
  • Establish clear research intake, prioritization, and delivery processes. Operate as the connective layer across ELT, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Operations. Ensure AR intelligence informs CI strategy and vice versa, and that both functions deliver insight in formats leadership can act on.
Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of experience spanning competitive intelligence, market research, and strategic insights with demonstrated seniority and scope of ownership across multiple functions.
  • 5+ years of direct Analyst Relations experience including multi-firm relationship management, briefing coordination, evaluation participation (RFI, scoring, executive interviews), and executive preparation.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a research analyst team, managing competing priorities and maintaining high-quality output in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills with ability to develop compelling narratives, build persuasive presentations, facilitate analyst briefings, and prepare senior leaders for high-stakes engagements.
  • Experience in the BPO, CX outsourcing, or adjacent professional services industry strongly preferred; familiarity with the analyst landscape in this space is a meaningful advantage.
  • Proficiency with CI platforms (Klue or equivalent), market research tools (AlphaSense or equivalent), and Microsoft PowerPoint. High degree of discretion in managing confidential analyst intelligence and nuanced internal dynamics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred

  • Existing relationships with analysts at Everest Group, NelsonHall, Frost & Sullivan, HFS Research, Forrester, ISG, or comparable CX/BPO-focused firms.
  • Experience owning a major analyst event (Analyst Day or similar) and working directly with C-suite executives in a coaching or communications advisory capacity.
  • Background in executive communications, sales solutioning, or GTM strategy with an understanding of how intelligence translates into pipeline impact.
  • Six Sigma, PMP, or other process/project management credential a plus.
What Success Looks Like

Within 30 days: formally introduced to all active analyst contacts; full AR commitment calendar reviewed; CI program assessed; direct working relationships established with the executive leadership team.

Within 90 days: at least one major analyst briefing led or co-led; active evaluation cycle participation underway; meaningful intelligence outputs delivered to leadership; executive communications partnership with the CBO established.

Within the first year: iQor's positioning meaningfully advanced in published analyst evaluations; CI program quality and utilization elevated across Sales and Marketing; annual Analyst Day planned and executed; the Senior Director established as the definitive internal authority on both the analyst community and the competitive intelligence landscape, having materially contributed to at least one significant business outcome through the integrated AR and intelligence work this role produces.
