Job summary

TransGrid Energy seeks a Senior Director to lead the development of a next-generation energy optimization platform that unites optimization, AI, power systems, controls, DERs, and data center operations. This role aims to transform static capacity into a dynamic resource, unlocking additional MW from existing power and cooling infrastructure while preserving reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience with significant leadership responsibility.
• Strong expertise in optimization, controls, power systems, or energy management.
• Experience applying optimization to physical energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maximize productive compute capacity from every available MW.
• Assess how much additional compute load a data center can safely support using real-time capacity metrics.
• Identify and orchestrate flexibility across BESS, distributed generation, cooling, renewables, compute loads, and grid interaction.
• Provide real-time answers on how many MW can be added, for how long, under what constraints.
