Job summary

APG is seeking a Director of Development to lead our development project management and construction execution from pre-closing validation through completion, conversion, stabilization, and 8609 delivery.

This role provides senior-level development and construction oversight for affordable housing projects, ensuring that project scopes, budgets, schedules, construction execution, draw reviews, and handoffs are managed with discipline, technical credibility, and clear accountability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of development, construction management, owner’s representative, or project management experience.
• Meaningful experience in affordable housing, LIHTC development, or closely related regulated housing development.
• Direct experience with construction oversight, GC coordination, schedule review, budget review, scope management, and field-level construction issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead APG’s development project management and construction execution from pre-closing validation through completion, conversion, stabilization, and 8609 delivery.
• Provide senior-level development and construction oversight for affordable housing projects, ensuring discipline, technical credibility, and accountability in scopes, budgets, schedules, and handoffs.
• Combine LIHTC development experience with field construction knowledge to independently assess project scope, progress, and GC performance.
