Job summary

Yale University in New Haven seeks an Executive Director of Advancement Services & Donor Engagement to lead the Alumni Engagement and Development office for Yale Law School. This senior role directs eight staff across gift administration, alumni communications, donor relations, data analytics, and strategic fundraising initiatives.

You will craft donor-centric strategies, oversee reporting and stewardship, and collaborate with university partners to align resources with priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; minimum 10 years nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Program management and supervisory experience required.
• Track record of building donor relationships and closing 6-figure+ gifts.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement donor-centric fundraising plan for the Individual Giving Program and annual work-plans.
• Manage a fundraising portfolio of 75-100 major and leadership gifts prospects; meet revenue targets.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff in Philanthropic Engagement and Marketing/Volunteer Engagement programs.
• Coordinate with Yale Central Development Office and other offices on strategies for prospects with interests across schools.
• Travel and engage donors through face-to-face meetings to advance fundraising goals.
