Job summary

Brewer Morris partners with a leading healthcare services organization to recruit a Senior Director of Accounting in Tampa, FL. This role oversees accounting operations, financial reporting, and team leadership in a complex environment.

The position includes directing close processes, driving process improvements, and partnering with executives to support strategic decisions. A strong background in healthcare finance and US GAAP is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
10+ years of progressive experience leading accounting and financial reporting.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and partnering with senior stakeholders.
Track record of improving accounting processes and reporting quality.
Oracle ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

Direct accounting operations including close, GL oversight, and financial reporting.
Partner with finance and operational leaders to improve reporting accuracy.
Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and data integrity.
Drive process improvement, automation, and efficiency across accounting.
Support audit activities and maintain strong internal controls.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
