Our Sales team serves the critical role of getting our products into the hands of our customers. This talented team works hard to build and maintain relationships with our clients, as well as looks for new business opportunities to expand our reach.

Responsibilities
Description

The California Account Management team manages and nurtures business relationships with our Strategic and large Enterprise customers throughout the State of California. The team identifies customer needs, developing customized solutions and communicating regularly to build customer loyalty.

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

  • Lead, manage, mentor team of 6 Account Managers to achieve assigned business targets
  • Host Weekly Sales Meetings to address team needs; expect full attendance from team
  • Hold weekly 1:1’s with each Account Manager, which includes reviewing progress towards quota, pipeline buildinng activities, forecasting, deal status, quarterly performance, and any performance-management related discoussions
  • Travel with Account Managers throughout California regularly, and personally visit and be involved with key California customers and key deals and step in to personally lead key/large opportunities when necessary
  • Understand deals for California territory, coach the Account Managers on successful deal strategy, and drive them to successful discovery, objection-handling, deal timeline management, etc.
  • Mentor the Account Managers on how to identify best opportunities to be competitive in each territory – competitive pricing, strategic products, partnerships, references, lobbyists, etc.
  • Submit Weekly Forecasts to SVP of Sales for your region based on your inspection of your Account Managers individual forecast submissions
  • Participate in the interviewing and hiring of top-performing Account Managers along with SVP of Sales
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidate must be based in California
  • Minimum of 12+ years of relevant and related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze and develop quality business and territory plans
  • Ability to accurately forecast sales on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in sales leadership preferred
  • Edtech sales experience preferred
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred
