Job summary

Prairie Vista Village in Altoona, IA is seeking a dedicated Culinary/Dietary Aide to join our team. You will help create a restaurant-style dining experience by serving meals, ensuring accuracy, and following dietary orders while providing friendly resident service.

You will assist with food safety and sanitation, support cleaning routines, and participate in department meetings and training to deliver nutritious meals in a caring, family-like environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Serv Safe certification encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help create a restaurant-style dining experience through serving meals and customer service.
• Follow diet orders, tray cards and work assignments; ensure accurate meal delivery.
• Assist in cleaning routines and setting up for next meals; maintain sanitation.
• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies as directed by Culinary Director.
• Attend department meetings and educational programs; follow safety and infection control procedures.
