Job summary

Senior Solutions Management Group is seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook to prepare meals for residents in a senior care setting. You will follow planned menus, ensure safe handling practices, and maintain clean, organized work areas while producing appetizing meals.

Responsibilities include dietary meal preparation, event catering as needed, and monitoring temperatures to meet safety standards. Experience in senior living dining is a plus; SERVSAFE certification is a big plus!

Qualifications

• Experience preparing meals for regular and therapeutic diets is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety techniques and proper handling.
• Ability to keep work area clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
• Follow food handling and safety policies and regulations.
• Ensure proper quantity of food is prepared.
• Prepare food for special events as instructed by supervisor.
• Maintain clean work area during preparation and service of food.
• Taste prepared food to ensure quality and palatability.
• Maintain proper food temperatures during preparation and service.
• Record temperatures as required.
• Serve meals attractively and on schedule.
• Label, date and store food properly.
